245 cargo area upgrade 200

I'm in the process of changing my interior from blue to black. Can I install a early 80's cargo area into a 1990 245? I think most of it will install, however what about the rear floor. Late model is all carpet, whereas the early model had the metal strip around it. Will the metal strip and smaller floor piece fit a late model 245?
