Hello- I recently bought an automatic 1983 240. My owners manual has a picture
of the instrument cluster and says that when the overdrive
is off the red "overdrive off" light will turn on and that
when I switch on the overdrive there is a Green Arrow that
is supposed to light on the cluster and the red "overdrive off"
light will turn off. The red light works when the O/D is off,
but when O/D is on the Green arrow light does not come on. I checked
the bulb and it is good.
Am I just dreaming or is this really supposed to happen?
