weird 1988 240 DL transmission or shifter problem

No warning on any of this, I just turned a corner to pull into my block and then went to park. The car shifted out of drive, but not into Reverse and would not engage any of the gears. It was in neutral, so I pushed the car into a spot.

No noises, no grinding, no fluid loss, no idea what it could be. The shifter can't really be moved and it won't engage. Any ideas?
