I want to know if this hitch will work on my 1991 wagon 200

I took this trailer hitch off of my 1985 wagon and thought I could use it on my 1991 wagon. I thought that I could remove the muffler shield but after inspection, I realized that it is all one piece of plastic that goes from one side to the other.

Has anyone mounted a trailer hitch like this on thier newer 240 wagon without a lot of modifications.
