Getting the winter itch 120-130

I am thinking about doing some engine work this winter and wanted to get some feedback from you all.

I have a B20F engine in a 1968 wagon. I would like to do mainly head work over the winter. I would like to keep in under $1000, if at all possible.

I found a cam through ipd, for a ton of money, then went to isky's website and found in for almost half the price. Can anyone send me in the right direction for valves, springs, guides, rocker arms?

Any advice on porting the head too? I know that I need to so some major work on the exhaust. Any thoughts?

thanks
