Is there a way to test the knock sensor? '92 940 900

The check engine light came on in my '92 940. So, I pulled the code and it is saying there is no signal from the knock sensor.
I've checked the connection to the sensor and everything looks good.
Is there a way to test the sensor, or would you recommend just going ahead and replacing it?
