Can't see gas gauge!! Bulb out? S90-V90

I have a '97 960 wagon, 161k still going strong but in the corner where my gas gauge is the dashboard illumination is very dim. Is there a bulb in this area and does anyone have any hints how to replace it. I have big hands but hope there is a way by removing the driver side kick panel below the steering. thanks to all who respond.
