940 A/C Recirculation Inoperative 900 1993

With the cooler weather I have noticed that regardless of whether my A/C recirculation button is in or out, I still get cold air from my vents. This wagon has the "manual" 3 knob HVAC system. I have looked through the wiring diagrams and I don't see a circuit referenced for the recirculation switch/button. When I cycle the switch I don't hear any clicking, hissing, clunking etc. Is there a controlling relay, fuse or vacuum motor I should be looking for? Thanks in advance for any ideas for troubleshooting.
