B23 or B230 - Better?

Is it just me, or is the B23 a stronger and more long lived motor?
I've read a good bit about the changes over the years to the B230, and I'm not at all convinced it was a "good thing", even the later models with the oil squirters.
It's admitidly a small sample size, but over the half a dozen of each I've taken time to pay attention to, including the one of each I own, the B23 just seems quieter and more, for lack of a better word, solid.

Thoughts?
