Hey Guys,
the other day I discovered the dipstick pulled out an inch or two and oil all over the brake booster and running down with a puddle the size of a hand on the ground after I had parked for a bit. But my crankcase breathing system is in a1 shape and passes all the various tests (jiggle, blowthru flametrap, etc.). You can acutally feel the slight vacuum with your hand over the oil filler.
So here's the question: Is there enough mechanical movement of oil coming up the dipstick tube for oil to actually come out in the quantity I describe if I mistakenly left the dipstick up? I never had this happen on a car before - seems like that tube is way too long for any oil to get out, especially with the slight vacuum going on. Or do I have some wierd intermitent blowby going on here? Oil separator box and flame trap are eat out of clean - I'm religious on those things...
