Plastic fuel line leak at the filer - Hose clamps ?? 200

I attempted to do a fuel filter on my 87 245. The previous owner had two host clamps on the plastic line near the banjo fitting. I did not succeed in getting the filter out - but now have a small leak from the plastic fitting. I assume the clamps were not a great idea in the first place. Aside from replacing the whole plastic line - any other suggestions on a repair ?
