no start 700 1990

i have a no start problem that happened all of a sudden. after i knew i had fire to the plugs i turned my focus to the fuel system...pump works ,filter not stoped up ,good pressure @ the fuel rail,ect... however the vacuume line from throtle body to charcoal canister had a split in it .. i replaced it with new line. @ this time i discovered the motor would start if i primed it with a few drops of fuel.... it would run just like it had before,so i thought cool no problem,,,,the problem is it doesn't start without priming first..i could use a little help thank you ~~~~
