A guy in town is selling a '95 940 sedan with 120K miles for $1200. He claims that it runs great and everything works (I'm learning that everyone says this), but he has no maint records. Here's the reason for the price - it was hit in the right rear corner. From the web pics I can see that it needs at a minimum a new bumper cover (bumper itself appears to be OK in pics), new outer lights (claims he has two sets to give) and the quarter panel is banged in on the corner. He claims that it has no frame damage. Do you think I should even bother taking it to a couple of body shops for estimates? I can live with a less than perfect paint/repair job, so I think it may be worth it. OTOH I'm afraid that it will turn into a money pit once the shop starts working on it. What do you think is the worse case cost on this repair?
