Rough Idle during warmup 200 1984

1984-1/2 245Ti; 289K miles; all stock w/factory intercooler.

On a cold start: Idles smoothly until Temp gauge comes off peg, then idles terribly. When fully warmed up, idle smooths out again. Intermittently, engine smooths out then returns to rough idle.
