Exhaust system help!! 700 1989

The pipe just before the catalytic converter (as it enters the converter between the converter and what I assume is the oxy sensor) is cracked and is causing exhaust noise. Is there any possible fix for this that dosen't involve buying a new converter or pipe form the header?

All help greatly appreciated in advance.
