94 940 fuel pressure at start 900

Where should I be looking, to fix slow initial starts, where it seems I have to engage the fuel pump more than once. I'm guessing that fuel must be lacking, until I've run the fuel pump twice or more. Does the fuel line remain under pressure or does it leak down? Is this a sign of future problems with the fuel pump, or is there an easy fix?
