That part on the floor! 200 1989

Under my 240 (89) station wagon I found a part on the floor. Just behind the engine. It is "C" shaped and looks and feels like "half a doughnut". Covered in oil. Any ideas about where this may be from? Yes - I do have a bit of a leak of what looks like auto transmission fluid. thanks for your help.
