Hi
I have a 1990 240 DL SW . I have found that water leaks through the glass which is on hatch . I want to confirm what I should use and ask if there are better options . I am thinking of this
1. Buy black silicone tube and make a bead beneath the rubber gasket from out side. This rubber gasket is almost flush with the glass and the hatch surface.
2. I have neoprene cement also, kind of the one used in roofing applications. Can be be used there . Which is better?
3. Is there any other options here which is as cheap as these. .
last time when I opened hatch hinges I had found that space around nut and bolt has started to rust a little on the roof . I plan to remove the nut ,clean it , treat it Rustoleum anti rust and the put silicon there so that water does not leak there . Is neoprene better for this
I have also put 740 style rubber weather strip in 240 on the hatch opening .
Regards
