kick down cable, cable stop 200

I replaced my kickdown cable a few weeks ago, which seems to have solved my shifting problems, however, when we went to clamp on the cable stop, it snapped in half. I've been driving without it for now. Is this ok, or do I need to come up with a replacement? If I do need to get some kind of cable stop, any idea where I could find something? Thanks!
