Am I S.O.L. on my O2 sensor? 1994 940 NA 900 1994

Greetings,

I'm replacing the O2 sensor in a quest to pass California emissions (and also because it's time--140k miles and a blown head gasket having probably contaminated the sensor.) I picked up a Bosch 13953 sensor, the one used on the ford V8s, with the understanding of the need to splice in the Volvo connector. Based on some discussion on the board regarding its use instead of the pricey direct fit option it seems to be a legitimate choice.

However...after I bought the sensor I found this:

It seems that as a California emissions car I am stuck with only the direct-fit or Volvo options, translating to more $$$ than I really have to spend right now. Can anyone conform this, or has anyone with a CA emissions 940 NA had success with the 13953 sensor?

Many thanks in advance.

Matt
