obd slot 2-223, slot 6-214, won't start even after unplugging amm 200 1990

90 244, won't start.

On board diagnostics slot 2 is code 223, signal to/from air control valve, no service light.

Slot 6 is 214, signal from speed sensor, service light comes on and goes out after a few seconds.

Tries to turn over - I get it to almost start, and then it just cranks. Pressing on accelerator does nothing.

Unplugged air mass meter, and still the same result.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm out of practice on working on him, because until now he's been running great!
