[Sorry to post this here instead of the classified section, but the classified section requires a billing address. I'm not interested in putting that info out in cyberspace.]
Hi folks.
I'm not selling the supercharged 122. I won't ever sell the 122.
But for a number of reasons I've decided to sell my 444.
I've owned the car since the spring of 1996.
Restoration (to the point it's finished, anyway) was completed in 2005. It's a late 1957 production with new floors, bright shiny red paint, front disk brakes, ipd swaybars, urethane suspension bushings, heim joint clutch linkage, 12 volt conversion (alternator, not generator), 2130cc B20 with Isky VV71 cam, ported head 2.25" exhaust, SU HS6 carbs, Cibie H4 headlights with city lights, 1955 grille, new lock cylinders, new window seals, new door seals, new trunk seal, new fender welting, new plastic (never rust!) headlamp buckets. All the suspension parts were cleaned and painted before it went back together. Rear brakes (backing plates, cylinders, shoes) are from a '68 122. Has a race bucket set and five point harness in place, but the seat isn't easy to get in or out of, and the harness doesn't see any real use. 3 point seatbelts in front, no belts in the rear.
Accelerates PLENTY good. Still has a 4.56 rear end, so highway cruising is buzzy, though it'll move right down the road. Will sustain an indicated 100mph (this is probably closer to 90mph). Good AM FM Cassette. Less than 500 miles since the engine was overhauled (not rebuilt: overhauled). New main and rod bearings at that time, new fiber cam timing gear. Good oil pressure.
Dead reliable. Always starts, always runs. Very easy to drive. Forgiving and strong.
What's wrong with the car: no headliner. No doorpanels. Fuel gauge doesn't work. Most of the dash switches aren't correct. No horn. Sometimes the speedometer quits, but the odometer always works (this is handy, given that there's no fuel gauge). There aren't any hinges on the trunk.
The Oregon license plate, "H8SUVS", is not included.

I have more pictures if you're interested.
I realize these cars are rare. I also realize they're not particularly valuable. It'd easily cost between $8 and $10K to duplicate this one - floor repair, body and paint alone came in at nearly $4K.
I'll entertain offers before putting on ebay. I very much dislike selling items on ebay.
No offense, but I don't really want to talk about the car unless we're talking about making a deal. I'm more than a little disappointed to be offering it in the first place, and I don't want you to listen to me whine.
Thanks much.
