My car will not exceed 2000 RPM. What makes this such a challenge is that the problem is intermittent. I have read as much literature as I can find on this problem and I have replaced the AMM, the Igniter and the RPM sensor as recommended. The AMM and the RPM sensor made no difference. I replaced the igniter (ignition amplifier) with a used one. I had bought a new HUCO ignition amplifier but when I installed it, the car would barely start. By installing the new one and trying to start the car, and then putting a used one in, I got the car ran perfect for about 3 days and then reverted back to running at 2000 rpm max. Another curiosity that began a little ways into this problem is that my FM radio stopped working, AM works fine. This leads me to believe that the radio suppression relay may be somehow involved. Perhaps the Injection ECU ?? If anyone has any experience with this type of problem, I would greatly appreciate your input.
Thanks,
Ipolm.
