air box tie down and turbo shutdown?? 700

Hello,

My nice clean 88 760 wagon (107K) goes into abrupt turbo shutdown when I hit it fairly hard. I have changed the AMM, runs a bit better but still does it.

My air box clips are all broke and I use a rubber bungy cord to hold it down, don't know if it holds it down fully. Would a leak under turbo boost cause the shutdown like a leaking hose would??

My mechanic thinks a hose is leaking.

Also have never changed the Oxy sensor, only 107K but 20 years old.

Any hints?

thanks, bill
