Dale (Volvo245gti) got the score of the decade when he found a clapped out 123GT in a local PYP. He didn’t need the steering wheel for his car – but I’ve been looking for something a little different for my 122. That’s the history, on with the restoration. I used the wheel restoration kit from Eastwood and would recommend it…the epoxy filler is not easy to get perfect, but it should work very well.
Starting point.

Nasty cracks

Developed cracks

All filled with epoxy

Ready for paint

Three coats of DCC Concept Urethane later...and I polished the stainless steel spokes.

I painted the centre as well.

Lots of work, but I’m very happy with the results.
