For the first time ever, Buttercup, my 1980 245dl let me sit. At least it was at home, but she still made me miss Christmas dinner at my grandparents.
She cranked but no turnover/start, even with the gas pedal floored. Hubby came home and we checked for spark (good), bad wires at the firewall (normally mangled) and that the dizzy was dry (yup). He got in and feathered/pumped/floored the gas pedal and she spit & sputtered until it caught and then ran smoothly. After running for a bit I turned her off and started it right back up.
So - is this a sign that my cold start injector is bad? How do I test this on a 1980?
Once again, thank you for all your help and wisdom!
Sarah
