I've got a 1991 740 non-turbo wagon with 318000 miles. Love the car. I just discovered that the electric a/c fan ahead of the radiator was stuck from some minor damage when my daughter was dodging a deer and ended up with one wheel dangling over a very deep ditch and the car teetering on going the rest of the way. The only other damage is that the spoiler is mostly gone. The tow truck guy was amazed. On to my question...
I took out the easily removed a/c stuff because it had all sorts of leaks and isn't worth the hassle to fix it with our reasonable summers in upper PA (my passengers don't always agree though). Anyhow, from what I can tell from the forum and FAQ's, the electric fan is needed only if the car has a/c. Is this true?
Thanks
Dave
