So we get some snow in Columbus Ohio and my daughter says she was braking for an intersection and when applying the brakes they were grinding as she almost slid through an intersection, then her brakes would stop the car fine other times. I told her it was fine and just quit complaining.
just kidding.
so I take her car for a drive and sure enough it feels like the brakes lock up and grind when I brake quicker and engage a skid (maybe the ABS turns on?) but are fine otherwise when stopping more slowly and not starting a slide.
any thoughts?
She is now under advisement to begin stopping in slippery weather much sooner than necessary, until I can figure this out and fix it.
thanks,
jack
