Strange boost problem 900 1991

1991, 940 turbo, 170k miles

This problem recently started and it only happens the first time i drive my car in the day, or if my car has been sitting for several hours. When i accelerate for the first time, and my car hits boost, it doesnt boost, it just feels like im pressing the pedal and getting no response. But this only happens once, after that, the car drives fine. Any clues?
