1993 940 cassette/radio into a 1992 740?

Hello, does anyone know if there is a difference in the din plugs to connect a 93 940 radio into a 92 740 wagon? the back of the radio has a din plug to the amp with a round opening, but triangular holes for the pins. My plug in the 740 wagon has a male end that is round but has round pins? does this fit, with force, or do they make round holes also, and/or do i need an adapter?
