Sway bar links 700 1987

1987 740, 277K miles, About one month ago I replaced all the bushings on the front suspension of my 740 including the top and bottom bushings on the front sway bar links. Yesterday, I heard a popping noise and inspected and found the front passenger side sway bar link had snapped. My question is, Is their a torque value for the upper and lower bolts on the sway bar links. Did I overtighten, I noticed my mechanic tightened both nuts such that the bushings were squeezed pretty good. I have an original stock sway bar and original struts which seem to be fine. I have ordered two replacement links for both sides from FCP and am waiting for their arrival for the repair. CLUNK'n in Tn.

Thanks JMSH
