Good Morning Folks;
My daughter's 740 has 198,000 miles on it and from reading the FAQ's and the Archives it appears to be running on borrowed time for the fuel pump. From what I have read her car should only have one pump, that being in the fuel tank. Her car has a pump under the car. The car seems to be running out of power on the highway as the last time she drove it to Vermont she said that it would really slow down going up the hills on Interstate 89. So the big question is does the car have one pump or two? The car has the big square ignition coil that, from what I have seen and read, identifies it as a Regina engine, and as I said the FAQ's Archives say it should have one in tank pump only. I suppose the only real way to clarify it is to remove the fuel tank access panel and take a look at the wiring. I will also run the the LED diagnostics as well. Any opinions from the collective Volvian brain trust will be appreciated.
