Bosch #11027 1 Wire Oxygen Sensor Versus 3 Wire OEM 200

Hello. I need further opinion/advice about replacing oxygen sensor on my '86. Bosch #11027 single wire is much cheaper then 3 wire replacement . I found here on Brickboard a post on using this sensor instead of 3x wire. What would I lose by going to one wire rather then three. Seems that I'd lose heating function of 3x wire setup. Is this really a big deal ? I am admittedly cheap(frugal ?)so if I can save about $80 that would be great. However if using single wire sensor is incorrect then I will not then. Thanks in advance for advice/input/opinions on this.
