Pulling on wiring harness 200

Yesterday (and it was too damp and chilly to start the big project) I was under the hood of the 245 with the engine running. I grabbed the wire harness where it comes between runners 3 and 4 and gave it a light tug. The engine smoothed out like it has not idled in several years. The only thing was that the idle speed went up to 1000 rpm and stayed there. I jiggled the harness again, and the idle dropped, but the engine kept running smoothly. I guess that's proof that I have issues in the harness.
