Hello everyone,
I purchased a pair of tie rod ends for my 760 a while back, and now that I've finally found a moment to swap them out I noticed that they're not a matching set. Both are Beck/Arnley brand, one made in England and other one somewhere in Asia. The first one is the shorter, round casting and the second on has the longer casting with the flat spots on the shaft. At a minimum, I'd have to measure the difference in the old and new parts and then try to calculate the approximate number of turns required to get a ballpark adjustment before a proper alignment.
Is putting a mismatched set like this on even a remotely good idea, or should I just go and get another one that matches either of them (and preferrably same casting as the ones in there now)?
