A few years back my speedo stopped working and rather then fixing the it I replaced the entire instrument cluster with another. However the clock on the "new" cluster had manual adjustment( A round knob protruding out of the cluster) whereas the origianl was adjusted by means of an up and down switch. Not thinking it was a big deal I merely left the connection wires for this hanging behind the cluster upon installation as I was still able to adjust the clock. The only thing is that the fuel gauge read backwards. When the tank is full the indicator points towards empty with the associated low fuel orange light illuminated. When the tank nears empty the indicator points towars full with the low fuel light not illuminated. I figured I could live with this and have done so since then, as I have developed a mental picture with the help of my odmeter in determining my fuel status. Now, is there something that could be done to have the fuel gauge read true. I was hesitant in trying in fear of "frying"the cluster itself., Any suggestions?..Regards..paul
