Oil in coolant - source other than headgasket? 700 1988

The car is a 1988 745 Turbo with M46 manual transmission (so no ATF cooler obviously). The car runs strong, never overheats, there's no sign of coolant in the oil...but it loses a little coolant and there's a small amount of oil getting into the coolant (I verified by flushing/refilling and then checking the coolant over a few thousand miles). Does the oil cooler (at the oil filter stand) on a 1988 B230FT have the possibility of oil leaking into the coolant? What about leaking seals in the turbo allowing oil to get to the coolant passages? Is there a good test for either of those, or other possibilities? Thanks
