Hello All:
My `92 940T won`t start-- it turns over, but won`t catch. I checked the timing belt, swapped a RSR, swapped the FPR, swapped the fuel system relay, and tried another power stage.
I can`t do proper diagnostics yet-- I`m home with a snow storm and a 3 year old who can`t be left unattended. I`d like to check for spark, but can`t do myself with the car halfway out of the garage with the snow and wind blowing.
I can see the tach bouncing when I try to start it. There was fuel in the FPR, but it wasn`t leaking out the front. There was no real pressure in the fuel rail when I disconnected the FPR.
The car did run this AM when my wife pulled it out to the curb so she could get her car out of the garage.
Cap and rotor are fresh, so is the RPM sensor. I pulled back the timing belt cover and it seemed to be under proper tension. Last replacement was less than 8K mi ago.
I will look for spark tonight when I have someone to crank it. Ditto for listening to the fuel pump.
Any suggestions gratefully accepted!
