It was at one of those intersections where the signal lights went out and just the red light flashes so that the 4-way stop sign rule applies. Well, looks like the guy behind me didn't stop and hit me! WHAHA! I motioned him to pull aside so that we wouldn't block traffic. Once we got to a safe area, we both got out, and I asked him if he was okay (just out of courtesy) and then looked at my car. I was expecting to see a bent-down bumper or something bad, but the bumper looks okay, with the exception of a scratched area caused by his front bumper hitting it. I asked him how fast he was going, and he said not even fast and that he had come to a stop but then forgot about the flashing red light and moved forward. It felt like he hit me at a pretty high speed because I felt a big jolt. My back sorta feels sore too. Yet the damage to his front bumper and my rear bumper looks minimal.

When I got home I inspected the wagon. It looks like the bumper gas shocks did their job, and I could see that the driverside shock moved about 1" in and the passenger side moved about 1.5" in (due to the fact that much of the contact point was on the passenger side. The bumper doesn't appear to be drooping downward, but this inspection was at night, and I couldn't really take a good look at everything.

I opened the hood, looked underneath, checked the door alignments. What else should I check? Do the gas bumpers need to be replaced? It looks like they moved back in place. Good thing that years ago I marked it, and I can see that the gas shocks moved back to its marked position.
