YES I'm now convinced that I'm crazy. 200 1988

OK, so I'm Kristilee's husband Bill, who just bought the 88 wagon, and already I need help. I took the car back to the used lot because the back brakes were making an awful sound, and while we're at it the backup lights, int. dome light and radio quit, bulb failure light on. A day later, Thursday, its back out of the shop, no charge, with new brakes, backup lights work, dome light works (on position only, not with the door switch) , bulb failure light off, radio clock works but no radio. No big deal, I can carry a tune.

Saturday morning car does not turn, at all. Jumps right away and off I go. 4 hours later car won't start.

Sunday, cleaned and checked battery terminals, jumped and drove for a while car starts fine again several times. Driving on the freeway car runs out of battery and dies. Towed back to shop.

Shop guy says all they did was replace a fuse - they won't touch Volvo wiring.

My guess is that the replaced fuse circuit is shorted and somehow this affects the alternator. So it's been running on battery alone and finally gave up. I don't own a multi-meter (yet). Anybody have a clue where I should start?
