Inner Tie Rod Tool? 700 1989

Hi all, just going to replace my inner and outer tie rods this weekend. Never done it before but it doesn't seem like brain surgery, I did the struts recently and these should be a breeze. My only question is a friend of mine said I might need a special tool to remove the inner tie rods, is this correct? I've been looking around and haven't seen anything saying this so I thought I'd ask.
