940 dies. Complete electrical Failure 900

My 940 will die intermittently. The engine stalls and everything electrical shuts off, all lights, heater, radio, everything. The only thing that works is the horn. The switch has been by passed and is directly connected to the battery with a button on the dash.

The car usually fails when I switch on the high beams but will also fail when I step on the brakes or use the turn signals. It does not happen every time and It can go several days or weeks between failures.

I have replaced the alternator, crank position sensor and the knock sensor. All grounds have been cleaned and the battery terminals replaced.

Any ideas?
