On my 90 240dl, the idel goes very high about 2500rpm on 1st start when cold. Once the engine is warmed, the idel then drops to normal. After reaching my destination, upon 2nd restart, the idel again revs high, then drops soon after only when the engine is warmed. I have allready cleaned the airbox and part of the airtubeing that runs to the throttlebody. Also, I have cleaned the outer plate of the throttlebody. Want to look at the neglected flametrap, but i don;t know if that will fix the idel and gasmilage. I checked out the AMM and it looks clean inside. Oil was found inside the airtubeing, I have cleaned that out as well. In addition, the vehical accelerates better now, the idel has improved a bit but still idels high when restarting.
