I broke the CPS (crank position sensor) bracket - 91 245 200

Looks like I have to remove the (M47) trans to get it out. Attached to the engine block with 2 bolts.

I might try to make my own (or anchor it from the top). Anyone ever tried this? Is the distance from the CPS to the flywheel a precise amount?
