90 240dl (i think its ready to retire early! 200

It dies on the track this morning and now refuses to start. Once or twice it clicked and the dash lights turned off. I couldn't get them back on, till I slammed the hood and now the engine cranks but no start. The 25amp fuse on the drivers fender is good caz the chk engine light is still lighting. The car has had a full tuneup, plugs wires cap and rotor. I do have a 1/4 tank of gas left. What else can it be?
