Dual Line M/C saga: a theraputic experience 120-130

So here is the story.

I obtained a used original (Wagner) dual line master cylinder to replace the single line unit. I took it apart and had the cylinder bore lightly honed. The seals looked good, and at the time I could not find a source for new ones so I put it back together. It worked great (one line to the front and one line to the back). Firm pedal, good braking all round. No problems.

Fast forward 8 months. I find new seals (CVI) so I replaced the original seals in the MC - all seals match up. Put it back together and find that the secondary circuit (the one at the far end of the MC) is pushing fluid out weakly. The primary is fine.

I removed the M/C, took it apart checked everything (looked ok) and re-installed. Now the secondary circuit has nothing coming from it. The primary is fine.

I removed it a third time, and just for fun switched a couple of the new seals around. Now the pedal is very firm on the first push, then sinks on the second push - again a problem with the secondary circuit.

Every time I worked on the M/C I bled the system really well (it was a good bonding time with my teenage son pushing the brake pedal). My technique is bleeding the system is now very good. My relationship with my son is better too.

I am going to abandon the M/C project and get a new later version dual line M/C from IPD with the conversion mounting hardware...Then get a pro to check it all out. I figure if this thing was that fussy, it may fail me when I am on the road.

I figure I needed to share this with my Brickboard therapy group that understands these wierd Amazon kind of things.
