I know, I know. I know what you're thinking. "Do a seach and read old threads before you post!" Well, I did. In fact, I found a two-year-old post I put up myself, in re a similar problem. And I've done everything the old posts say. New plugs, wires, coil, cap, rotor, even CPS. Marine grade fuse holder for the main, 20-amp fuse under the hood (wired up with shrink tubing over the connections, too). Good used AMM and power stage. Used good quality stuff. And dielectric grease Did things a little bit at a time to see if I could isolate the problem. Still, anytime it gets REALLY wet, I get low RPM hesitation, until the car warms up and dries out. Last night, it got REALLY, REALLY wet, and today, for the first time, it's a no-go. Had to push it out of the driveway so my wife could get out. Other than in the wet, the car runs flawlessly. I have noticed that the spark is not nice and blue like it should be, and I haven't been able to track that down, either.

I haven't done the "midnight check," as is isn't dark out, yet. But this has been going on for years, and I'm finally so baffled I'm posting about it. And apparently, judging from the number of threads, it's a common problem with 200 and 700 series cars. And yet, I haven't seen a definitive answer. So I thought I'd ask, just in case I'm missing that one thing.

I figure it must have something to do with the stuff on the driver's side of the engine bay, from the coil to the battery, since that stuff gets drenched when it rains.
