Dragging clutch 700 1987

I have a 1987 745T which grinds going into reverse and is difficult to shift into first gear at a stop. Problem is minor when cold; however, becomes severe once things warm up (20 minutes of driving). The throw on the slave cylinder is within spec. The transmision has been pulled, pilot bearing was replaced and the splines were cleaned. Resulted in a minor improvement for a while. Anybody with any suggestions?
