Ok, this is not good - coolant is gunky 700 1987

Hey folks,

When I checked out this car to buy it, I looked in the coolant reservoir and it was - ok, not great; some sediment but the coolant was green.

I've looked inside my coolant reservoir and it's brownish. And opaque. I figure my radiator is leaking into my automatic transmission fluid and vice versa.

What's the best approach here? I need to get somewhere today, is this safe to drive on for a short (~15 min each way) trip?

I see a new radiator in my future. Will I need to flush my transmission as well to get the coolant out?
