New to B230F, need clarification 700 1987

Hi folks,

I have an odd question: under the hood, looking down on my exhaust manifold which runs down the passenger side of the engine (B230F, naturally aspirated), there's an air-scoop-looking thing on the manifold which looks as if it needs a hose attached to it. Closer to the front, between the battery and the radiator, there's a clip that looks like it would hold a hose. Am I missing a part here? What is it?
